i have 2 engines one is a 1970 mercury 650 w/ a bad piston...but good spark.. the other is a 1971 mercury 650 the compression is fine and the plan was to swap electronic parts til i got spark.. i changed the distributor and the switch box but still am not getting any spark...a friend was able to use an electronic tester to dump the spark from the coil into the distributor and than we got spark for awhile (if that makes any sense) anyways, i know this all seems pretty vague but im really stumped and any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated..<br />thanks<br />boatyboat
