i have a quicksilver 3000 classic throttle control system. the engine cut off switch works and cuts the engine off if flipped to the off position. My problem is the replacement lanyard i got from Mercruiser dealer does not really fit in the cut off switch opening. the black plastic loop end causes the switch to stay in the off position. This cant be normal? any suggestions????
