Can't get my bearing buddies off

I went to repack the bearing on my trailer and the friggen bearing buddies are on their so tight everything I try to get them off fails.<br /><br />And suggestions?

rubber mallet or a block of wood with a hammer and bang it side to side. alot of people lose there buddys on the road feel lucky that yours are stuck
