I hate bothering people with quiestions, But i am at a stand still. I have a 1978 (?) mercury 1400 outboard. I replaced all wires internal and external. new plugs and wires, new dist. cap. new stator. cleaned and went through all three carbs, rebuilt fuel pump. After all that, I went to start it and
no spark and no fuel in cylinders, I believe with no spark it could be a bad trigger or switch box. Right? But i am really flustered about the no fuel, i can over prime the bulb and fuel will drip from the carbs but as soon as i attempted to start it nothing fires. i pulled the plugs and noticed no fuel, the plugs were dry and thats when i tested for spark. Is there a way to test the trigger and switch box?
Thank you for any help, its greatly apprecitiated
