My friend after replacing the gimball bearing cannot install the drive again,
lower side of the drive slides fine but the upper side slides in and got stuck about last 1 inch...
We did alignment and it slides in and out with little resistance/pressure and rotates by 2 finger so i assume the alignment is fine
any ideas?
take care

I use a drive jack so I can get the drive at exactly the right height and also what helps is to get a long thin screwdriver, slide this in the u joints and when trying to get the driveshaft into the coupler, use the screwdriver to turn the driveshaft just enough for the splines to align. All it takes is like a 1/16th of an inch or so....

It's possible that your alignment tool is not going in as far as it needs to? There's multiple shoulders on the alignment tool so it's not always clear how deep it needs to go
