Just an interesting article in the Toronto Star about 2 Canuck doctors each serving on opposite sides of the US Civil War. According to the article at least 3,000 Canadians were enlisted with US troops. - Grandad

You know its kind of ironic, up till the late fifties/early sixties families moved through the border, back and forth with no issues.
As it was done way back then.
Half my family is here, the other down south, I guess it all depended on what side was chosen.

Same here. I have an uncle in NYC who raised his family there and another who spent most of his time in Nevada and Arizona, eventually settling in Lake Havasu.
