Can you tell me why this bravo lower unit looks this way?

This is a 1993 Bravo I, but I have never seen one with a point like this.

Ayuh,.... Looks like an added nose cone...

They are very common in that vintage. Say, '88-'95 or '96. Then the "low water pick-up" was introduced.
What you have a pic of, is a "glued on" & feathered nose cone. Like Bond-o said.
They make a bravo look like a speedmaster.

Is it s good or bad thing? I sent an email to the guy I bought it from, and he said the drive came off a dual engine cigerette boat. The drive has all new gears and new seals. It held 10 psi overnight.
