I am wondering if this outboard is able to pull a skier or at least an adulton a large watertoy? It is a three cylinder model with a four bladed prop.

It could certainly pull a tube. It could probably get a medium sized adult up on two skis. People have certainly skiied behind less. May have required a shore start though :D

On a 14' aluminum boat you could ski all day long, even deep water starts.

On that fiberglass rig not so much. Tubing yes, adult skiing, probably not.

Anyone that weighs less than 150lbs would be fine though I'm sure. Try starting off a dock if you need a little help.

How does it perform as is ??? That would be a good guideline for us to go from.

Can you??? Sure...but do you really want to??? When I was younger, I pulled my aunt (100 lbs or so) on a slalom ski behind a 14' aluminum row boat with a 15hp Evinrude that I was steering with the tiller. She pulled too hard to one side, tipped the boat so far up that I fell in the water. Luckily my friend in the boat was quick enough to jump back to the rear seat and stop the boat before something bad happened....lol.

I use to ski behind a 14 Lone star, with a 10hp Evinrude. I weighed about 50 lbs.

I learned to ski behind a 16' dorsett with a 50 hp johnson. We could slalom as well but the deep water starts where tough! with wide enough skis I think you would have no problem!

45hp min on a 15' boat & no adults except a skinny Driver
My uncle (by marrage) showed up at the lake one summer with this rig, & after taking in about 2 gallons of water, I gave up, was the closest to drowning I ever came to, of course it was my fault for being a Hippie, then the foul mouthed critter couldn't even pull my aunt up, her fault according to him she had 2 beers, it Wasn't His P.O.S. Boats Fault, that was 1976 it still burns in my mind.
