Use a free photo hosting sight like photobucket. Copy the pictures url, and paste in your post.

Moved this to the Forum and Website Issues section. Evil.

The easiest way to post large, easy to see pics is by using a free photo hosting site, such as Photobucket. Using PB after pics have been stored is simply clicking on the IMG code box (marked in red in the capture below) for a pic and pasting in your message.

picpost.PNG

The result after previewing or posting;

No Title

Click on the camera icon above the text box in the post you want to make. Click "upload" and select a pic from wherever you store them on you computer...

I realize that there are some photo bucket type places to use, but this iboat forums site can easily handle most any picture providing the total size isn't over the limit. I had to take pictures, upload them to my computer, open them in mspaint and resize them to about a 50% smaller rate, and then upload them on here direct. And since I've been doing that, I haven't had even one problem... The problems seems to be most of the time, the actual size that can be posted on these forums. The reason I like doing that better then using an outside source is because if you ever change or delete any of those pictures on your photo bucket source (or even just move them around) you lose them being seen on here. So I will load them direct and forget about them... JMHO!

If the pix would be IN the posts I don't care how they get posted.

Unfortunately, having to open, view independantly, or open in a new window or tab, just makes helping harder if the pix are necessary to give good advice. Which is why I recommend and use photobucket.

Scrolling back and forth between a post w/ several imbedded pix and a reply window is plenty enough time consuming. Being able to view the text of a post (an opened attachment mostly covers the iboats forum window) and multiple pix all at once is how those asking for help to get it and get it from multiple different people.

Look thru the resto threads, topics w/ easily viewed pix get the most advice, IMO it's because it is less complicated for those giving advice to see what's going on w/ a project.

Good luck ID'ing the Mariner evil, hope it's a runner for ya

Get this and you can resize with one right click
https://imageresizer.codeplex.com/

Then put all your pictures in a Dropbox account.

right click on your picture in Dropbox to get a public link.

Use

around the link and you are set.

It all depends what you're used to. I don't have to resize pics or add codes around a link when I use PB. For me it 's the easiest way to plug large, clear pics into a message.

I like dropbox because it's drag and drop into an explorer window. By drag and dropping it automatically gets uploaded. You don't have to log into the PB site and do a manual upload. Also, way easier to organize because it looks just like windows explorer.
