Is it possible, due to salt water clogging of passages, ( and admittedly poor maintenence and flush out that the water flow would be so poor as to cause the propeller spindle to get so warm as to spin a prop?????????? Or, say 3 props?? Thanks, Mark BTW, water pee is good, draining upon lifting boat out of water is a couple of slow minutes. Used to be faster.

But spun PROPS??

I have never heard of the water flow causing a spun hub, but the water jacket can definatley become clogged over time. When was your last waterpump/therm change? sometimes there can be a build up in the thermostat housing causing poor draining.
The spun prop sounds more like cavitation from a transducer or something causing an interuption of water by the prop at mid to high speed runs. Is there any blueing or "burn" marks on the prop? What manufacturer are you using for prop?

A spun hub most often is caused by a thermostat stuck open. It needs hot water to keep the glue gluey. How's that for a technical word?
