Can my board be ridden either way?

I have a couple older O'brien boards. One Player, and a demented, I think.

I ride right foot forward, and most others ride left forward. Do I have to flip the bindings each time or is the board symetrical front to back, so it doesn't matter which way you ride?

Looking at the board it looks symetrical, but I thought I would ask.

Thanks

Don't think it matters. Matters a bit depending on how you place your bindings, but most people as they get better move to a more neutral stance I think. I did anyway.

You can ride either way. You may just want to check how the boots are mounted just to make sure it won't be awkward for other riders. They're likely mounted at the same angle, but that may not be case.

Thanks guys!

I was pretty sure it was all right but wanted to check. I have the boots mounted the same, both neutral.

Cheers

The whole point of many tricks is switching directions.

You should actually work quite hard and practice getting comfortable riding in either direction. And in switching from one direction to the other while being towed. Prepare to crash. You will. But then you'll figure it out.

After you get that figured out, many tricks become much easier to learn. Plus you get a whole extra set of muscles to use when one side of your body gets tired...just turn around so you can ride longer.
