can it be done???

i dont know where my other posting went so here it is again. i want to put my 1993 evinrude 9.9 block in my 1991 or 1992 johnson 15 exhaust manifold housing. the 1993 is cracked. the part number for the exhaust manifold is different but the gasket that goes on the exhaust manifold to the block is the same. does any one know what the verdict is? thank you.
