can i rebuild 125hp force from 85hp force?

can i use the pistons from the 85hp to put into the 125hp? are they the same size piston?

they have different part numbers,,, so i'm guessing no

ex: 1989 85 p/n 700-834795
1989 125 p/n 700-834794T3 (both std size)

and from the looks of it,,, the only 125 pistons available are .030 over

i could be wrong though

Depends upon the 85. If it is 1984-1989, it has the same bore as the 125 so the pistons will interchange--assuming the 125 and 85 have never been overbored and assuming the cylinders do not need reboring.

Yea they swap.Yea standard parts are still available.so are .010 and.020 over pistons.J
