Can I leave my jet ski in the water?

Hi, I have just moved to FL and have access to a canal in my back yard. Can I leave my 1996 polaris sl700 in the water at all times. It's not bottom painted but is that the only concern?

never a good idea but if it's salt water then NO

It will be in salt water. I shouldn't leave it in because it doesn't have any zincs?

Salt water destroys anything. Flush it, wash it, leave it on dry land. I wish had a picture of an SUV ski I saw at Riva, had barnacles on the ride plate and everything else just looked scary...
