Re: Can I get a LEGIT value here?

I would check over in the Polaris forum of http://www.pwctoday.com Personally, I'm not a Polaris guy. The company is still in business but left the watercraft market in 2004 if I recall correctly. I know that aftermarket parts are available through http://www.sbtontheweb.com and http://www.wsmparts.com/. A lot of WSM parts can be purchased from Ebay sellers for reasonable prices.

All in all, if this ski is as mint as you claim it is, I wouldn't see $3500-$4500 + trailer as a reasonable amount. As for sitting, the biggest obstacle you may encounter is fuel system deterioration. Simply sitting for a long time without being started will not hurt a motor. It probably still has a nice film of oil covering the engine internals. What you should be worried about is the first time you fire it up. Be sure to remove the spark plugs, pour a spoonful of 2 stroke oil in each cylinder and work the engine over by hand to make sure it turns freely and smoothly. If it doesn't turn over smoothly without the plugs installed, RUN don't walk away from this deal.

Finally, I would completely go through the carburetors and fuel lines before starting it back up. Depending on how long it's sat and how old the gas is(whether or not STABIL was used), you need to make sure the fuel system is working 100%. A lean running 2 stroke motor does not last long. Good luck, hope this helps.
