I have had this wooden box with a tin lining for years. It probably came from my uncle who lived in Japan for many years until he retired and moved back to the States. Any guesses what the writing on the label or the letters say? What it's original use was? is a sturdy constructed box and I use it to store my 12 gauge trap reloads. About 15" x 15" x 20". jbox3.JPGjbox2.JPGjbox.JPG It

Thanks to dingbat I now know I have a Japanese Tea Box. Looked on the internet and the first one that came up was for sale at $450. Expensive holder for a few hundred shotgun shells.tea box2.jpg

With the info dingbat supplied through google translate I was able to trace the tea supplier, the city they were located, and even the last 4 digits of the companies phone are the same today as back when the box was made.
