Looks to be an OMC stringer to me...

This is not something you want to buy, considering its already broken.

Thanks guys, I was figuring if it was something there is still parts available for, I can rebuild it, but if there are no parts, then there is no way!

Other than a Mercruiser I wouldn't know
I was going to say OMC or Volvo Hadn't thought of Chrysler
I think Volvo would be really expensive if you could find parts
Chrysler would be tough to find even if it shares outboard parts
OMC I/Os have been gone a long time.

It IS an OMC stringer drive without a doubt.

Keep in mind, OMC went out of business in 1998, and 85 was the last year for that drive design.

Thanks again, I knew I could count on ya! I thought it was and OMC and knew there were no parts available, so I am glad I asked, too bad, the boat looks to be in pretty good shape and a grand for a 20 footer is pretty good!

There's good news & bad news... The good news is that it's not an electric shift Stringer! The bad news is that it's a Stringer :). I have that same drive. Works fine, but I dread the day it breaks constantly because I won't find parts for it or won't be able to afford them (if it's major). Lesson learned after being given a free boat... :/
