I recently picked up this 1966 star craft.
the number on the registration is 1966 ST/CR 668055
Can anyone tell me the model?
The boat is an aluminum hull 14ft in length and about 67" wide. It is a closed bow with cable and pulley steering and windshield. Hope the pictures come through.
Thank

Venus, I get so confused with all the Starcraft models  You can look here in the Starcraft brochure sticky http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=349830 to start, it might help. At least you seem to have good bones to start with to make a nice boat. And it's a Tinny!;)

Someone will be along that may be able to help you out, but look at the brochures to start.

Welcome to iboats Starmada, best help on the WWW.

I'll take a stab at it, but I am partial to Jets and Jet Stars. I'm going to go with Jet Star. The 14 (15?) foot length, the configuration of seats are my clues and the beam is right. OK SC historians, make a fool of me. The flat deck in the Jet line was introduced in the late 60's, mine has a deck curved to the ribs. The splash pan is not "right" for a jet as far as I know so that might be a clue to its identity. Check out the thread on this site of brochures, http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=349830

The two places an identity plate would normally occur are within your picture frames, just forward of the engine controls and on the inside of the stern. None there that I can see.

Anyway great looking SC and welcome to our little world. Hope you restore it.

Nice rig, I agree with Bananaboater, looks like a Jet Star. Nice little ski boats with lots of character.

Nice score, and welcome to the Starcraft fleet:)

14 feet eh? Might it be a Falcon or a Holiday possibly?

Either way, welcome to the Starcraft brohood! That is a super looking rig you have there, I really dig the kelly green color.

Sweet:)

Thanks for the replies.
That thread with the brochures is fantastic...
I measured out the boat looking at the specs for the different runabouts and it looks like I have a falcon.. length is 14ft gunwale measures 14'11" transom width is 57" transom height is 16".
now to clean her up and get her ready for the river.
I remember reading that capacity plates could be ordered. Does anyone know if that offer is still available? I've heard the USCG and the Canadian Officals are checking on the ST. Lawrence.
Thanks again
