Can anybody recognize this 'rude color?

Please check out this link to an ebay image. I am looking to match the lighter blue color that covers most of the unit. I have a cover somewhat similar to this one. It is an '87 Evinrude. E28ESLCUC I tried the Tempo Light Blue Metallic (78-87) and the match is nowhere near!<br /><br /> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2411075980&category=26455 <br /><br />Any help would be great!

Wkoch,<br /><br />You have two choices.<br /><br />1. Paint the whole thing with the Tempo paint.<br /><br />2. Or, buy the genuine OMC paint from a John/Rude dealer.<br /><br />I did the second on the engine I just painted, which is the same color as yours by the way.<br /><br />You can see the before and after pictures here:<br /><br /> http://mypeoplepc.com/members/djohns19/djohns19/

Hey the boat looks great! I remember seeing that post before. I didn't think they would make the paint color anymore though. Did you paint the motor with a spray gun or a spray can?

Wkoch,<br /><br />I painted it with spray cans. My local John/Rude dealer had several cans on the shelf and said he could get more.
