Sure, Nathan.<br /><br />You can mount it there. It wont work, but you can mount it there.<br /><br />Plan on using as transom mount transducer on your tinny.<br /><br />Good luck.

Epoxy a transducer mount onto the back of transom. That way you dont have to drill into your AL. boat. Good Luck

You may want to consider making or purchasing a mounting plate.that way if you need to change or add transducers at some point you will not have to add additional holes in your boat.

humming bird makes a mount that uses a big suction cup to stick on the back of the transom.

Nathany<br />JB is right can not shoot thru a aluminum hull. I have two tranducers and a speed and temp sensor on back of my boat and only the 8 degree (BIG tranducer) is bolted on. The other are glued with Silcone seal. Works great but there some risk if you hit a floating stick could break loose. A mounting plate is also a good idea. If you do glue it on then you need tie wrapp some place not too far from transdecer just in case it breaks loose. This stops it from hitting someone in boat if it comes loose.

I have to transducers on my tinny! One on the trolling motor with side views and one bolted to the back. I often switch back and forth when fishing rivers and small estuaries.
