There would be problems shortly after the motor came up to temp or in this case over temp. There are pressure relife valves locaded with the T-Stat that would alow the passage of more water in the event they weren't operating. Its pretty hard to kill a T-Stat. You can crud them up from not flusing the motor out good enought, and they won't work. But they will still be good after you clean the up. Make sure your choke is working, that would cause hard starting before the T-Stats<br />steve<br />steve
