Can’t find parts!

I need some ignition parts for Sears 2hp. Model 582 6094 Serial Number 59557. <br /><br />The motor has no spark. My guess is the coil is shorted but I can’t find any one who carries parts and I can’t positively ID the engine. Sears is no help.

I think your motor may be based on the Yamaha<br /> P45 1 1/2 and 2 hp motor.<br /> I found this in an old service manual circa 1972.

Could it be a Clinton? The coil is marked Clinton 0013 and a little library research uncovered a Clinton 2hp picture that looks very close but still no positive ID.

Clinton did make motors for Sears. So it is quite possable that you have a clinton made motor. If you have the numbers off the coil almost any small engine repair shop can get one for you.
