Hey there. I just realized today that the "cam follower" part in my engine is broken. While looking at it, I managed to lose the link that connects the "cam follower" with the throttle shaft.
I now need to replace both the parts 26 & 27 on the following link:
Link
Sadly, those two very small parts that doesn't look like anything special at all turned out to be pretty hard to find - I found one of each listed on eBay which were very expansive - around 61$ in total, including shipping to Denmark.
Does any of you know whether I can buy some alternative parts from another (newer?) engine, that would be cheaper, and could be modified to fit in my engine (Evinrude 3hp 3836a, 1968)?
Alternately; its only one end of the plastic follower part that is broken, exactly the part that holds the link and connects to the shaft. Would I be able to repair this plastic piece, and bend the link from a nail or something?
Any recommendations would be very much appreciated!
