You used the same napa zincrom primer as I'm going to use and I wanted to
know if you sanded the entire bare hull or just did the vinegar wash and then
primed. I've only found a few spots of oxidation on my hull after stripping
the paint off and was hoping to only have to sand those spots.

Brian,
If you're gonna paint the hull you should at least hit everything lightly with the sander. The Zinc Chromate is only for the areas of bare metal, and you don't need a ton of it. Kinda like Kool Aid :)

then you prime and paint everything with the system of your choice.

Bryan I sanded pretty much the WHOLE boat yahoooo then as NB said did a heavy dusting with the ZC.

thanks Rick and NB I was hoping a chemical etch would suffice. My goodness
I'll never buy another boat that needs stripped again, too much work in repainting bare aluminum.
