Re: Calling miloman

Hey milo, sorry to hear about your father-in-law. Thats some bad stuff for sure.
My dad died in '85 but it was some kind of cancer caused from breathing fumes from doing body work and the such they said.
Paint and dust from sanding and stuff.
Anyway, it is not a pretty way to go for sure and we will have him in our thoughts.
Glad to hear you are doing good.
I never thought I would feel this good after smoking for so long, but I do and the wife says I do to. :D

Re: Calling miloman

thanks SBN tough on the wife and the oldest son but well get through it. Almost had 1 yesterday from the stress but heck no way so I stuck a piece of gum in my mouth. I tell you SBN sad sight those cancer wings I cant believe that our governments allow all this crap with cigarettes. I mean they have to be spending more on health care then they collect in taxes.

I understand what your saying mm, and it's not like the Doctor's would not have something else to do.
Sometimes I think it's a big conspiracy between the Doctors and the tobacco companies.
"Keep pumping out the smokes and we will have more patients to work on."
I think that is their thinking.
You know, sometimes I think the reason the government don't get involved with this, is that they might think this keeps the balance of the population in check.
Maybe they think if they stop it then we will get overpopulated, I don't know.
Another thing is that the tobacco companies are "BIG" business and they would not sit still for it. Sad to say that they make money and people suffer for it.

Re: Calling miloman

Hey milo, sorry about your father-in-law.
Yea it's a bad situation for sure and I went thru what you are going thru with my dad and the wife's mom, so I know what you are talking about.
I have not figured out yet though which one I hated worse, my dad dieing, or my brother in the 9/11 attack.
I guess, it would be my brother for no other reason, but the way he died.
With dad, we expected it, you know, but with the brother, I don't know.
I had better shut up now before I do something I don't want to and that's getting to feel sorry for myself cause I know that there is a lot of people out there a whole lot worse off than me.
Will keep you father-in-law in my thoughts and keep me posted.
I am still smoke free and glad to say, my daughter is too.
She had told me that if I quit she would too and so far as much as I know, she has. I think her husband would tell me if she had smoked any.

Re: Calling miloman

Yea I been reading it and put my .02 worth in for what it's worth.
I am doing ok on the non-smoking deal.
Been smoke free for a month and 2 days.
Now for the dreaded diet.
I weigh right at 300 lbs and I got to get some of it off.
My poor bass boat is starting to say "One at a time please" when I get in it.
As far as your father-in-law goes, it's a bad thing to say, but if he was that bad off, then he is in a better place now with no more pain.
Stay smoke free my friend and keep that gum handy.

Hey milo, I was on the Adkins diet for a while last summer and it did pretty good.
No taters or bread, but all the meat you want, eggs too.
I might try it again and really stick to it this time.
I know I have to do something.
I am getting to the age where I have to watch the ol ticker and the weight sure don't help any.
Thanks for the advise. :)
