Calling all southern CT river and long island sound boater!

Figured I'd start a thread on this. It's almost that time of the year to get out there. Before you know it, it'll be May. The first two weeks in April are usually my trial periods when I get things worked out for the year. What is everyone's major plans for the year? I know for me, I'll be doing some camping on the river, and at least one trip out to Block island but I easily see two or more. Looking forward to fishing out there thats for sure.

I usually go out of Groton into Fisher Island Sound. Been boating for 3 years now. Have a 20 ' Sea Ray Closed Bow 1989 with a 3.0 Mercruiser. Have wanted to go to Block Island. What kind of a trip is it? Rough or doable in a 20 footer? How long would it take to get out there from say Stonington,CT? Looking forward to the trip within the next 3 weeks. Might even go a couple times.

In a 20 footer I dont know. Im sure its doable. Would be rough. Coming out the the CT river, it could be a 4 hour trip or 1.5 hours depending on how rough it is.
