I have some questions about how Brokerage Houses fill out and submit them to the IRS. I won't be specific here until I get some responses. What the Brokerage house sends you for a 1099B at years end is nothing like the actual form that gets filed with the IRS.

I have 2 good friends who are CPAs. PM me with your specific question and I can ask them.

To be honest, if you have an unusual problem, always best to pay a CPA.

I wouldn't exactly call it a problem. It's more of an academic question about Brokerage filing.
I will PM you with it.

Actually it's best to pay an Enrolled Agent but some CPAs know what they're doing.
