Re: California earthquake
OK . . . we were on the Boat . . . but . . . my 15 YO and 19 YO were home alone and yes, Chino Hills was the Epicenter . . .
We got the news within seconds of TV reports. BIL was at the house (Lake Havasu) and he was watching the news. He called us within 10 minutes of it hitting and the phone lines were already jammed. Could not get through on the cell, text, land line, friends, neighbors etc. etc. So I was about to fire the boat up and head home, wife was getting nervous, I was getting nervous . . . I was trying to remember what the Earthquake clauses were in the Insurance etc.
Well we were on the beach in the London Bridge "Channel" and had been talking with a nice family next to us. Turned out the Dad is a California Highway Patrol Sargent. He called his office on his batphone and said that there were no reports of damage and he clearly told me that I could "go ahead and have another beer". Well I don't argue with Law Enforcement, so . . . well . . . Anyway, we got a call in another 5 minutes or so from the 15 YO . . . He said it was "bad arse" and then that it was "tight" . . .
So we finished out the day and didn't get home until 11:00 PM last night . . .
I can't even find a crooked picture . . .
