Hey everyone (finally posting for the first time :D), I just purchased a used Key West 186DC with a 2005 Yamaha F150. I noticed the cable bundle running from the boat to the engine is pinched between the engine and what looks to be some sort of support bracket. I've only had experience with stern drives, is this ok/normal for outboards? It's wedged in there real tight, I can't pull it out with just my hands.

Sorry about the picture, I think I took it a little too close up. The picture was taken from the starboard side.

Looks like your fuel hose/primer bulb are stuck under the motor, better re-route that so it doesn't get pinched or cut and cause a fuel leak. The fuel hose should be routed away from moving motor parts. The other cables, hydraulic steering lines look O.K. from the photo. Good Luck!

what is the part number on that steering cyl.
will be an HC45 or an HC 58.
look on the decal and post the number.
may have an issue.

then according to the teleflex book your good on the cylinder.
reroute the rest of the rigging.
may require releasing the tiller bolt and swinging the cyl down to get the wires rerouted.
