Cable Shift or Electric Shift

Hi Everyone, I am a new boat owner. Just bought a 1975 mastercraft grew ss chevy 250 inline 6 engine. It needs an outdrive but how do i know if it needs a cable shift or electrical shift. Please advise

A 1975 would be electric shift.-----But do a complete evaluation of this boat before you spend any money for parts !!

How do i make sure that it’s a electric shift? I have received mixed responses from different people. Just confused

That looks like a electric to me. port ( left ) you have a hole where wires pass thru. If you look inside you should have the 2 wires for where the drive connects.

Agreed , this should be so simple.---And it appears there is only 1 cable ( throttle ) coming from the control box !-----All 1975 models were electric shift !!!
