The current epidemic of Cabin Fever has now spread into areas where roads are always clear and temperatures remain relatively high. The current epidemic seems to be systemic and those areas not normally effected have little defense against the dread affliction. It appears that the best way of avoiding infection is to fight fire with fire. Thereby bringing the comfort of being in denial as a remedy..... How about a Suziki vs E Tech or a synthetic vs fossil.... Where did I put that scots bottle? ;)

I was a methodist for years. I liked the Babtist preacher and was always BS ing with him. He told me If I had been babtised instead of sprinkled I would get rain instead of just light showers. So I let him babtize me, I started getting rain.

I guess I need to go look up old Brother John again. :D :D

I'm a Methodist that was immersed by a Methodist minister in the pool at a Baptist church. Bring on the controversy, I've got it all covered.

So, is a Methodist really a Baptist that can read? :D

That's what I hear!

Baptist-turned-Methodist here so I was dunked. I guess the "real" controversy would be infant baptism. When our Methodist church went through a growth spurt a few years ago we almost always had a few new members join at every service. One week when nobody joined, the pastor kinda joked that he wasn't used to not having anybody new to introduce & wasn't quite sure what to do. When we spoke to him afterwards I told 'im, first you have the choir sing a couple verses, then you have everybody hum, then you say "every head bowed, every eye closed" a couple times, ya basically just make everybody stand there until somebody joins. No matter what time the Cowboy game starts.

A little son of a Baptist minister was in church one morning when he saw for the first time the rite of baptism by immersion. He was greatly interested in it, and the next morning proceeded to baptize his three cats in the bathtub.

The kitten bore it very well, and so did the young cat, but the old family cat rebelled. It struggled with him, clawed and tore him and got away. With considerable effort he caught it again and proceeded with the ceremony.

But she acted worse than ever, clawed at him, spit, and scratched his hands and face.

Finally, after barely getting her splattered with water, he dropped her on the floor in disgust and said: “Fine, be a Methodist.”
