anyone know who make this reel model 200 with a 5.2.1. ratio.they have them on sale .good or bad

Since nobody got back to you yet. I'll give a try. I don't have specifics on the reels itself but I believe I have read either here or elsewhere to stay away from the Cabela's Reels. That's my only recollection about he postings.

yep. that what i here on cabela's reel's.i am going to give shimano corsair 300a a shot.again everyone knock this reel.

If you must buy the Corsair...I think you will be disappointed. I have the smallest Corsair and I'm waiting for it to fail. I rarely use it. I would take a look at some other reels...anything else. Good luck with it. <br />D

My dad bought a rifle from cabelas about 6 mounths ago. The barrel was bent down about a half of an inch. He traded it in for a new gun and it too has a bent barrel. The moral of the story is that the prices may seem low and a good deal, but they also are items of lesser quality. It would be better if you purchased a reel at a higher price from somewhere that has top quality reels that you know are good. I've learned that the hard way.

hi matt:i really think that what you buy today ,there has to be some luck with your product.well i have read the forum on the shimano reel's everyone knock's the corsair .i check the reel out,pick it up for 41.00 buck out of wall-mart.cast nice smooth-gear's .the only fishing will be salt water on fluke,blues, weaks ,lucky if you get a jumbo fish.i really think when people buy these reel the purpose is not to land 50lbs. fish. it would be the wrong reel for large fish.
