Cabela's black box

Has anyone used the black box that Cabela's sells?<br />It states it attracts fish. Anyone know the theroy here?

Its a negitive ion thing.<br />Salmon fisherman swear byem, personaly I dont use<br />it.But some commercial fisherman and sport <br />fisherman do, They say it increases their catch.<br />And attracts fish when hooked up to downrigger <br />cable.

I was at Cabela's. If I want the low down on something I ask here. Cabela's info is general at best.
