Bypass Trailer Switch

Hello. I have a 1995 Chaparral Sunesta 220 with the 5 liter Mercruiser and a Quicksilver 3000 control with the trailer switch. Everything worked when I purchased the boat but the first time out I found the trailer switch was very loose and ready to fall out. When I went to load the boat it went all the way up but would not go back down. The trailer switch actually fell out and one of the wires was disconnected. Then both became disconnected. So, I have tried to get that new wiring with the tilt/trim and trailer switch but the ones I have seen will not work as the trailer switches on the wiring I have seen are very short and my trailer switch is at the bottom right corner. Much longer than the ones I see. I called a Mercruiser dealer and he said they no longer use that but you only need the tilt/trim switch and you bypass the trailer switch. I have it apart and now I'm not sure how to bypass it. Any ideas?

The trim is fairly simple setup. The trailer switch is only used to raise the drive and not lower. It can be bypassed by jumping the trim limit switch together. Then the trim switch will fully raise and lower the drive

In the pic, there is a blue/white and purple/white wire that connects to the limit switch on the outdrive. If this is jumped together it will bypass the limit
