Buying Used From Dealer/Warranty

Quick question as I have never bought from a dealer before.

Is it typical for them to give you a warranty on a boat? Not talking a long one, just a 30 day warranty. Thinking about buying a boat from a dealer that is 500 miles away and would feel a lot more comfortable if I could get them to throw in a thirty day warranty.

Thanks

Generally anywhere i've been to they provide a 30 day warranty for peace of mind. But after 30 days you're on your own. Mind you, a 30 day warranty isn't going to be of much value 500 miles away, is it?

Not if it has to be serviced at their shop, but if I can get them to agree to having it covered by a certified shop it may work out. We will see.

Anybody on here ever buy one of the extended warranties?

unless its a big national chain they wont give you an "outta shop warranty"

they cant......all warranties will be from the purchase shop....

an extended warranty is just an insurance policy...has nothing to do with the origonal dealership...ans as far as i know ...only avalible on new....

Sorry Bud, a 30 day warranty on a used boat will be valid within the dealer that sold it to you only.
