I need to buy a trailer for a 14' Lund boat. It has a beam of 70". I have been looking at the shoreland'r, and the EZ-Loaders. Just wondering if one manufacturer makes a better trailer than the other. Also should I get bunk or roller..

6 for 1, half dozen for the other. Get whichever is sold at a good dealer near you. Bunk or roller?. depends on what the ramps are like where you launch. If you can float the boat to it a good roller trailer doesn't even need to get the tires wet.

the 14' lund is aluminum, go with bunk, the rollers put pressure in points, where the bunks distributes. in my opinion those 2 brands are way over rated and over priced. there are a lot of trailers out there that are just as good. i've never bought a new trailer. a good galvinized trailer, new bearings and away i go.

Re: Buying a new trailer

yea i would Def. go with a bunk i have the same type of boat a 14' semi-v. I have a bunk trailer and it works great. Most trailers for this size boat are verry adjustable. I have a "Load-Rite" trailer for my semi-v and i can change the bunks around to the way i like them. Can angle the boat so the bow sits where i want it when on the trailer for draining and launching. Just about all brands of trailers for this size boat are the same way. A roller trailer is a little less adjustable and if it is a rivited boat you really dont want a roller trailer as the rollers can apply too much of the weight of the boat in spots that are close to the rivits are causing them to loosen up and make the boat leak.
