The first boat I ever owned was a 14' Glasstream bass boat. I had a little Mazda Pickup. I thought, such a little boat why should I need a hitch bolted to the frame after all the bumper is bolted to the frame. One day I was going fishing in VA with about a 45 minute ride down a busy interstate. When I got the boat ramp and started to back the boat in my whole bumper fell off! I was so thankful it didn't happen on the interstate. A friend just happened to be there with his truck. Needless to say we just hooked it up to his bumper, went fishing and worried about it when we came back.
