So quick question, I have this bulge pump pictured Seaflo I got. I bought the sea flow auto off and manual switch. Pictured as well.
Do I need a switch that that? Or can I fuse the bilge directly to the battery? Trying to eliminate having to cut another hole in my console if possible. Plus I’d have to run the w wires to the console then the ground wire back to the battery for the switch and pump.

Is this your only bilge pump or a backup for another that's already installed.

If it is the primary (or only) bilge pump, I would think you want a manual switch as well as the auto switch. If the auto switch fails, you need a way to activate the pump if your bilge is full of water.

If it's a backup (or secondary) bilge pump, I think the manual switch is of less importance, although it would still be nice to have.

Its the only one i have its in a Lowe Olympic 1862 jon boat. I had one before not on a switch, then it failed, bought a new one and put it on a switch and it failed lol so got a better branded one in hopes of not having this issue in the future. Then found the same brand has that switch so got it but wasnt sure. Thanks

Says it's fully automatic so I suppose it can be wired without a switch.. anything about it in the instructions?
