This question is on behalf of a friend who owns a Princecraft 16.6 serie fishing boat. We would like to know if the 25 gallons built in gas tank is made of metal or plastic ?

Also what care should be taken for it ... The boat is powered by a Merc 4 cycle motor therefore there is no oil mixed in the tank ... is it best to have the tank filled up for winter (outside) storage ? Tx

Not sure what the tank is made of but a quick search on winterizing the boat will give you all the info he needs to store it properly.

Grab a bottle of sta-bil fuel conditioner, and follow the instructions. Run the motor so the treated fuel gets into the engine.

-or-

(and this is my preference) Disconnect the fuel line and run the motor out of fuel, so it doesn't gum up over winter.

I personally do this to all of my small engines (lanwmower, weedeater, chainsaw, etc.) and restarting them in the new season is a breeze. If I have left-over fuel sitting in jerry cans, I dump it into my vehicles so they aren't sitting over winter.
