To save my back, ease the alignment of installation, and prevent undue damage to the lower unit from a drop, I decided to build an outdrive jack. I know, its not a new concept, just my rendition. I used scrap steel from my pile, and an old jack from a boat trailer for the parts. Of course I have a decent shop with metal working tools to my advantage. I havent used it except to mock it up at the boat for clearances and all that. Im taking the boat on one more lake run tomorrow, then the winterization begins. I will remove the outdrive for storage and servicing and will use the jack for real then, and post more pics on that session. So here are a few pics of the build:

Here are the frame section, jack mods, support arms welded up, and overall completed jack........

Ok, since the site only allows 5 pics per post for some reason, here are more pics of the jack through its completion.
Here are more of the trailer jack mods, and the overall look after paint for your viewing pleasure......

good job.... for future reference tho, you can just reply to your first thread and add more pics.... I suspect that a mod will come along and merge the threads

How did the drive jack work? I am thinking of building one to save my back. especially on the bravo drives.
