Earliest outing in 10 years, and we were thwarted by bugs. Serious bugs, a bit larger than a Nat, but more disruptive than flies or mosquitoes. They were slow, and easy to kill, leaving an ugly streak on the vinyl that thankfully washed off easily. These little POSs didnt bite, but were in swarms all over the lake. We spent less than 45 minutes on the water when we decided to abort. The temp was in the high 60s, very little wind, and the lake (Lake George northeastern Indiana, crossing into south central Michigan) was nearly void of boats. Anybody know what these bugs are, or how long do they stay in the area?
