I am a newbie to this site just found it the other day,I have a 1984 150 vro with a rebuilt 1980 200 powerhead. the powerhead came with a cracked intake. so I used the 150 intake and carbs the builder is giving me another 200 intake I am thinking about putting it on. when I went to the outboard junkyard.they told me about a buble back exh. johnson made ,said it was like putting on a header, I can buy it for 100 $is it worth the effort or am I buying more headaches

Don't waste your money. That protruding type baffle exhaust will only fit the 235hp and later on 175hp models. There is absolutely no way that you can incorporate it on a flat back exhaust baffle plate V/6 OMC outboard. Trust me on this one.

Re: buble back exhaust

joe thanks for the info. I have the clymer manual but it is kind of generic, is ther something else that has part numbers or better views as I have a combination of 2 motors and can't tell by looking what I have parts wise?
