I was no more than a half mile from it when
it motored up the river. It was definitely not your father's ocean freighter.

I had to scratch around online to find more about it.

It's docked in Portland, Oregon right now. I might get to see it on it's way back out.

Earlier this year....I think it was "Yachting"...had a spread on the top 100 largest private yachts. Tatoosh is one of 3...count 'em, Three...that 'ol Paul owns in the top 100.
Nice to know he knows where to spend his bucks. You can assume each boat has lots of TVs so he can watch his Trailblazers lose, and his Seahawks win...

Got a chance to visit Tatoosh last week; I represent my company, one of the corporate sponsors of the Trail Blazers and Paul had a little bash for 300 of us....now I can say I know Paul personally... I did ask him about his other two boats, and he says he's thinking of selling one of them. I got hustled away before I could make an offer...

I'm much more impressed with Tatoosh than I am with the Blazers. We're also a sponsor of the Sonics....think I should root for them this year?!

Anyone seen Greg Norman's latest addition? Although it is smaller than the above mentioned yachts, it looks bigger. The stats are especially impressive:

On-Board Tenders:
42' Sportfisherman
30' See Vee ( "..for smaller fishing expaditions")
22' Novuranua with 800 hp (.."for diving parties")
2 x 18' Hewes Bonefishers (in case they head over to the Keys for some shallow fishing)
13' Recue Boat and..
4 Yamaha Waverunners

228' long with 38' beam and 12 person crew.
Fuel capacity is 220,000 litres (costs him more to fill it than my house & boat do).
Two Cats at 2000 hp each; range at 12.5 knots (max 17)is 8000 NM.
All because he can swing a steel shaft.
