Is it normal to have a sore or bruised front foot when you first learn how to do a correct slalom turn or is my boot to tight? I was just recently told to get my weight up on the balls of my feet in the turn. I practiced this last week. The next day the heal of my front foot was sore/bruised. I have been free skiing for many years and have never had this problem. Now I am a rookie to learning to ski on a course.
My front boot is a HO Venom large w/ RTP. I wear size 11 shoes. I have not used this boot much because I was skiing most of the time on my old ski. Last year when I used this boot the next day the top of my foot was sore for 2-3 days. I realized the boot has no arch support and I have a high arch. I stretched the top of the boot out a little, so it would not have as much pressure on the top of my foot.
Has anyone had this problem before?
