I took all the guts out including the master cylinder and damper. If for some reason I was to go back to surge, I am going to buy a new complete coupler since the master cylinder wasn't working.

The hardened bolts are the two gold bolts.

This unit is a tiedown/dico 60.

I know, I know-I posted here when I was doing it and man it opened a Big O can of worms. You also joined in but the trailer surge never worked at all so zero brakes and the electric were the quickest way for me to get some on it. I really do love the electric way better that the surge and do very little salt and do rinse when I do. By the way I think your set-up is the best when I redo the whole trailer I want to go with the set-up you have Thanks again for the photo.......

Re: bruce58 did you bolt

Not sure when all those other posts were going on but I changed out my original TieDown disk brakes for Kodiaks. When you do go down the disk brake route, go with the Kodiaks...they are superior to the TieDowns.

I have electric brakes on a horse trailer and they work very well. Just make sure you test your barkes occasionaly. My parents have gone through many magnets on a 5th wheel that they own.

Will do motorhome and truck are set-up for electric and my other trailers so thats why it made it fast and easy to go electric. Plus it made me real nerves with out any brakes at all. Thanks
