BRP Horizontal Engine?

Previous post on this topic is closed, so here is an update on BRP's SeaDoo Pontoon.
I've seen this in our pool a few times. I suspected it was equipped with the new BRP submersible motor, but their page seems to show a traditional Rotax inboard. Not a bad price for a 16', 130 hp pontoon @<$25K.
...wondering if BRP will eventually install their new engine.

I've checked local dealers, they all say call for price on their webpage and use stock marketing photos for listings. In otherwords...still vaporware in my neck of the woods.

It looks like the Alumacraft BRP Rotax offering is doa as I couldn't build a boat recently with that power plant. Only the select Manitou toons.

Wondering if the performance issue managed to kill it off entirely?? It was noted slower than a traditional outboard engine during one of the youtube vids - won't link to it due to language used.
