hi guys
new to boats and new to this forum so please be gentle.
i have just gotten involved in ressurecting an old speed boat which we have been informed should be a broom capricorn that has a volvo penta 2.2 or 2.3L petrol engine with a 190 sterndrive,however someone in the past decided to convert it into a fishing boat by removing the seats, hooking the screen off and planting a cabin on instead (very badly)
our initial thought was to turn it into a proper fishing boat somehow but having removed the cabin it is clearly crying out to be a speed boat again
our problems are we have almost no boating knowlege between us and are seriously struggling to find information about the boat and setup, google search is sadly not that helpful and the company "broom boats" have no technical information as it would have been made by their sister company the no longer exists.
is there anyone out there that could offer some guidance and information to aid us in our plan to bring this back to its former glory or close to it?
any photos showing original layout/style, any technical data, sizes etc absolutly anything you may have that could help us would be greatly appreciated
