The admiral & I would like to make a day-trip from Columbus to Brookville Lake, Indiana. Looking for someone familiar with it. Are there any hazards we should know about? How about any good eateries we should include? Points of interest? Resorts/inns on the water?
Thanks, All (in advance)!
Happy Boating,
Brian

Re: Brookville Lake, IN

:)
The wife & I took that day trip to Brookville Lake, IN., today. Left @ 7 a.m., arrived & on the water by 11, boated until 4 p.m., then drove back to Columbus, home by 9. 3 hr drive each way, but not too bad! What a nice lake! Was a little disappointed that it cost an out-of-stater $10 for park entrance & ramp fee, but even that was ok. And only one place to eat on the water, but Ainsley's Cafe at Ken's Marina had pretty good lunch. Got a couple of nice pics, too. Bigger than Buckeye Lake, smaller than Lake Cumberland, but the plus is that it's 3 hrs closer to Columbus than Cumberland.
Recommend it to anyone who cares!
Thanks & Happy Boating!
Brian
