Broken Trim/Tilt pressure relief screw

Hi All. I have a 200 HP Mercury SN OT207028. The head on the plastic manual release assembly has broken off and I am wondering if there is any other way to lower the motor. It is stuck up. I've tried a screw extractor, but that just made a hole in the plastic..... Unfortunately the boat is on a lift and I don't have access to a trailer to easily have it serviced. Had a mobile mechanic out and his only suggestion was to replace the trim motor for ~$1400!
If i remove the plug assembly, with this drain the fluid and lower the motor?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
