I have a Tohatsu 07 mfs6 motor that tipped over and broke the cheap plasic shift lever; should I,

1. Try gluing it and hope for the best.
2. Buy replacement parts and try fixing it myself.
3. Take to authorized Tohatsu dealer.

Re: broken shift lever

Unless you have a super glue that bonds solid both broken parts molecules go for it, if not, lever will break again when actuated, some plastics are ungluable. 2-3 will be your best option.

To change the shift lever, you need to pull the power head off. If you want to DIY this, get a Factory service manual and the parts first. Otherwise, have your dealer take care of it.
